Over the last two years we have been bombarded with chatter about price increases across the construction industry. On the ground, these increases are now causing jobs to fall over. As people scale back their designs, put projects on hold, or ‘give up’ and refocus on finding a “finished” house to move into.
In this presentation, Peta will lead Jason and Ben through a series of conversational style questions. To look at exactly what has driven the increases, exactly how much the various components have gone up since covid hit, what factors will come into play over the next 6-12 months, and where we expect things to land price wise at the end. The focus will be trying to break through the high-level media hype/grapevine chatter, and to look at the clear-cut facts.
Examples from both metro and regional areas will be used to help bring the information to life. To help people apply the information to their own situation.
The presentation will finish with suggested tips on what changes you can make to your daily practices and/or alternate options you can investigate, to give you confidence moving forward.
- To get a clear understanding of exactly what factors have driven the increases, so that you can confidently talk to your clients about the situation.
- To get a good idea of where we are likely to be in 6-12 months’ time. So that you can proactively prepare clients for the outcome.
- To allow you to better plan for the future, to reduce the “unknowns”. To in turn reduce stress factor on yourselves/clients, and to help increase the chances of jobs going ahead. Basically, to help support your ongoing success.

We use Zoom for our sessions - you will receive a meeting link the morning of the session which will prompt you to download the software. Don't worry, it's super quick and you'll be up and running in no time!
